Week One

The Walt Disney Company is a leader in entertainment with departments including parks and resorts, studio entertainment, media networks, and more. Disney not only creates stories, but also allows audiences to enter those stories through their theme parks.
As a new “cast member” in the Disneyland Resort, I am part of the “show.” Disney stresses the importance of guest service as well as the Disney magic. When we are working in the park, we are “on stage,” our uniforms are called “costumes,” and our fellow employees are our “cast members.”
I have always cherished this company and the influence they have had on many children. Growing up, I was fascinated with their characters such as the beauty of Belle as well as the magic of Aladdin.
My role as a photographer in the Disneyland Resort is nothing but gratifying. I am fortunate to see smiling faces and happy families through a lens everyday in extraordinary locations. I love being able to capture the magic.
Being an Interactive Digital Design major, I was fortunate with being granted the role of a Disney Photo Pass Photographer. Learning the art of the camera and the technological aspects has been extremely interesting to me. I have never taken a photography class so training has been very useful. I can now say I know how to use the camera as well as how to compose the photos.
